Sales to date has been founder-led — Upwork, referrals, and a small inbound stream from advisory engagements. This seat takes the motion from founder-dependent to system-dependent: you’ll design the outbound playbook, build the qualification framework, own the CRM, and close fixed-scope engagements end-to-end. You’ll work alongside the founder on positioning, pricing experiments, and ICP refinement — with veto rights on bad-fit deals. The wrong engagement costs us more than no engagement, and we expect you to enforce that.

What you’d own
- Design and operate outbound sequences across LinkedIn, email, and intent platforms — own the data sources, messaging, and response-rate experiments.
- Run discovery calls, qualify against ICP and scope, and convert to free audits or fixed-scope engagements between $5K and $50K.
- Own the CRM end-to-end — pipeline stages, weekly forecast, hygiene discipline, and close-loss documentation.
- Partner with the founder on positioning, pricing experiments, and ICP refinement based on close-rate data — not vibes.
- Maintain a sustained pipeline of 8–12 qualified opportunities at any time, with a 90-day forecast that holds up to founder review.
- Stand up a sales-ops playbook future hires can step into without losing institutional knowledge.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years closing B2B services or SaaS deals in the $5K–$50K range to SME founders, ops leaders, or non-technical CEOs.
- Demonstrated track record building outbound from scratch — not just running plays inside a company with existing brand and budget.
- Technical literacy. You can hold a 30-minute scoping call covering RAG, voice agents, or workflow automation and qualify accurately without overcommitting the delivery team.
- Disciplined writer. Your outreach hits reply rates above 5%, and you can show the data behind that claim.
- CRM hygiene that would survive a board review — pipeline always current, forecasts defensible, stage transitions evidence-backed.
- You’re willing to walk away from a deal that isn’t a fit, and articulate why — to the prospect and to the founder.
Nice to have
- Prior experience selling AI, automation, or custom software services to mid-market SMEs.
- Hands-on with Apollo, Clay, Smartlead, or another modern outbound enrichment stack.
- An active network among AU, US, EU, or Middle East SME founders and ops leaders.
- Exposure to founder-led sales transitions — you’ve taken pipeline ownership off a founder before.
