How much does an AI coach cost? Real prices for coaching businesses (2026)

An AI coach can cost $79 a month, $49 a seat or a one-time fixed price for a custom build. Here is what each price actually buys, what AI usage costs per member, and the three-year bill for a 300-member program, with every price dated and sourced.

Three quotes for an AI coach can land in the same week. One says $79 a month. One says $49 a seat. One is a one-time fixed price for a custom build.

All three are real prices. Clone tools run from free to $5,000 a year: Coachvox is $83 a month, and Delphi’s paid plans start at $5,000 a year. Per-seat practice tools like Shilo cost about $49 per member a month.

Kajabi’s Expert Agents add $79 per agent a month to your Kajabi plan. A custom build at a small studio like mine gets a fixed quote after a free audit, and AI usage is billed by the provider straight to your own account. That usage runs about $0.50 to $4 per active member a month.

So which one is cheap? That depends on a number most coaches never work out: what each option costs after three years, with every member on it. The answer is not the one most people expect.

I checked every outside price here on 11 October 2026, and the sources are at the end. This market reprices fast. Delphi dropped its monthly plans within two weeks, so I rechecked it on 25 October. Treat the date as part of the number.

Meet Dana, our example buyer

To keep this concrete, I’ll follow one made-up buyer all the way through. Dana runs a real estate coaching company. She has 300 agents in her program, call scripts she has refined for years, and a scoring sheet her coaches use on role-play calls.

Her problem is the week between coaching calls. Agents nod along on Tuesday and don’t practice again until the next Tuesday. She wants them rehearsing her scripts out loud, scored the way her coaches would score them.

Keep her in mind. Her bill is coming.

Four different products are all called “AI coach”

The quotes are far apart because they are for different things. There are four kinds, and only two of them can do what Dana wants.

The clone tool is the cheapest. You upload your content and get a chatbot that answers as you. Delphi and Coachvox are the best known. You pay a subscription, and the clone lives on their platform.

Dana’s clone could explain how to handle a FSBO. It couldn’t score an agent practicing the call.

The platform add-on comes next. Kajabi launched Expert Agents in June 2026. Its teaching assistant learns from the lessons, transcripts and community posts you have already published inside Kajabi. Its sales agent works from your offers and product descriptions, and you pay per agent on top of your Kajabi plan.

Then come per-seat practice tools, mostly built for sales teams and real estate agents. Shilo, BrokerBot and Hyperbound let people rehearse calls against an AI and get graded. This is close to what Dana wants. The catch: you pay per member or per tier, and the scripts are mostly theirs.

The last kind is a custom build. Someone builds an AI coach around your own method. Members do exercises or voice role-play scored on your rubric, check in between sessions, and show up on a dashboard that tells you who is stuck. You pay once to build it, then pay running costs every month.

The published prices, checked 11 October 2026

  • Delphi has a free plan that lives only on Delphi’s own network. Its paid plans are Scaler at $5,000 a year (12 million training words, on your own channels) and Scaler + API at $10,000 a year, plus a custom Immortal tier. I rechecked this on 25 October 2026. Two weeks earlier it still listed $79 and $299 monthly plans.
  • Coachvox AI is $83 a month, billed annually, with unlimited chats. It offers a done-for-you setup but doesn’t publish the price.
  • Kajabi Expert Agents cost $79 per agent a month, since the $49 early-adopter rate closed on 30 September 2026. Each agent includes 1,000 messages and 250 AI credits a month. You also need a Kajabi plan, from $179 a month.
  • Shilo is $49 a month per agent on the Solo plan, billed every 3 months. Team pricing is not published.
  • BrokerBot is $99 a month solo, $499 for 2 to 10 agents, $999 for 11 to 250 agents, and custom above 250.
  • Hyperbound doesn’t publish prices. It is quote-only, priced per seat.
  • Glover U AI and Tom Ferry’s Revii AI (the successor to TomAI) don’t publish prices either. Each is a coaching company’s own AI coach for its real estate agents. Glover U launched its version in June 2026, built on BrokerBot.

Custom builds are quoted per project. Ours are near the end, so they don’t blur into this list.

These are list prices, before discounts and before the hidden costs further down. A $79 bot that answers course questions and a voice coach that scores every practice call are both sold as an AI coach. Compare like with like.

Voice is the biggest price jump

When I scope a custom build, a handful of things decide most of the number. Voice is the biggest by far.

Voice role-play needs real-time speech and an AI client that pushes back the way real clients do. It also needs a lot more testing. It is the largest single jump in build price and in running cost. Dana wants voice, so she starts at the top of the range.

Scoring comes second. A bot that answers questions is cheap to build. A coach that scores each attempt against your rubric, and gives one thing to fix, needs a scoring design you sign off. Then it needs test conversations that prove it marks the way you would.

The rest are smaller, but they add up.

  • Each extra program or rubric adds work. One program scored on one rubric is a packaged job. Several modules, each with its own exercises and scoring, is custom work.
  • Every integration takes time. A login through Kajabi, Circle or Skool, or tags sent to GoHighLevel or Follow Up Boss, each add work, and some platforms allow more access than others.
  • Regulated coaching needs guardrails. Real estate, mortgage, financial advice and dental coaching each come with rules the coach must not break (Fair Housing, RESPA, FINRA, HIPAA). Those get written in and tested before launch.
  • A coach dashboard is its own piece of work. Showing who practiced and who went quiet, with permissions per coach, takes real building.

Here is what surprises people. Member count barely moves the build price. Building for 50 members or 500 is close to the same job. What grows with members is AI usage.

AI usage is the cost that grows with every member

The short version: I budget $0.50 to $1 per active member a month for text practice, and $2 to $4 for voice. For Dana’s 300 agents on voice, that is $600 to $1,200 a month.

A vintage brass counter meter on a wooden desk with number wheels showing $0.80 above a plate reading per member per month, next to a phone with a chat on screen
Usage runs like a meter. Text practice on a strong model: about $0.80 per member a month.

Why a range and not one number? The cheapest model is rarely the one I would trust to score a practice session. And usage is uneven. A few keen members always do far more than the average.

Voice costs more because audio is billed in tokens too, and there are a lot of them. A minute of your member talking is about 600 tokens. A minute of the AI talking is about 1,200. The whole conversation is sent again on every turn, so later turns cost more than early ones.

That’s why I agree a monthly cap with every client. By our estimates, the expensive case is a cloned voice on an all-in voice platform. That can reach $12 to $14 per person a month.

Dana’s three-year bill

Now the number I promised. Monthly prices hide what they add up to, so here is Dana’s program, 300 members, over 36 months.

The assumptions: every member uses voice practice where the tool offers it. Prices are the 11 October 2026 list prices, with no discounts or price rises. The custom figures use the usage estimates above, billed by the provider to your own account, so heavy use costs more and light use less.

  • A custom voice role-play build is a fixed quote after a free audit, with AI usage billed by the provider to your own account: about $600 to $1,200 a month for 300 members at $2 to $4 each. There is no per-member fee on top.
  • A custom text-only between-session coach is a fixed quote after a free audit, with AI usage billed by the provider to your own account: about $150 to $300 a month for 300 members.
  • Shilo’s Solo plan for every member is 300 x $49 x 36 = $529,200, or about $176,400 a year. Shilo doesn’t publish team pricing, so a team quote could be lower.
  • BrokerBot’s Brokerage plan is $999 a month for 11 to 250 agents, which is $35,964 over three years at that size. Dana has 300 agents, and above 250 the price is custom and not published.
  • Kajabi Expert Agents, one agent at $79 plus Kajabi Basic at $179, come to $258 a month, or $9,288 over three years. One agent includes 1,000 messages a month, and 300 members sending one message a week is about 1,300. It answers course questions and sells, with no role-play scoring.
  • Delphi Scaler is $5,000 x 3 = $15,000, for a clone that answers as you on your own channels, without scored practice.
  • Coachvox AI is $83 x 36 = $2,988 on annual billing, also a clone that answers as you.
  • Hyperbound doesn’t publish prices. It is quote-only, per seat.

Look at the third line. The $49 tool is the most expensive thing on the page. At 20 members it is a rounding error. At 300 members on list price, it is over half a million dollars.

A long row of empty orange velvet theatre seats, each with a small kraft-paper price tag reading $49 hanging from the armrest
Seat pricing looks small per member. It grows with every member you sign.

Read the list by product type first and price second. Kajabi and Coachvox cost far less than any build, and Delphi’s free plan costs nothing. They answer questions. Per-seat tools and custom builds do practice and scoring.

Between those two, the gap is the per-member fee. It grows with every member you add. A build’s fee stays the same.

The costs that aren’t on the pricing page

List prices are the easy part. These are the ones that catch people later.

  • Seats get expensive quietly. Per-member pricing feels small at 20 members and becomes your largest software bill at 300. Shilo and Hyperbound both price per seat.
  • Some studios take a revenue share. They cover most of the build and take a cut of what you sell. Built by Foundry describes its arrangement as “revenue share forever”. Delphi’s creator terms say creator payments are set in a statement of work and don’t state a split.
  • Usage caps can bite at launch. Kajabi includes 1,000 messages per agent a month, and its help article doesn’t say what happens past that. Delphi’s plans are capped by training words. Ask what happens at the cap before you launch to members.
  • Credits can vanish. Kajabi’s terms say unused AI credits are forfeited if you cancel, are terminated or downgrade.
  • Leaving can mean starting over. A Kajabi Expert Agent belongs to the site it was created on and can’t be moved. Delphi’s creator terms say you stop using the Digital Mind when the agreement ends and your content is deleted, with an option to have it stored for six months first. Coachvox may delete your account data no earlier than 90 days after your subscription ends.
  • Your own time counts. Every option needs your method written down and someone to check what the coach says. For our builds, that means two 60-minute sessions plus time to review test conversations before launch.
  • Voice bills follow behavior. When voice is billed by the minute or the token, the bill follows how much members practice. Ask for a monthly cap and a usage report.

None of those three clone and add-on tools describes a general way to take your clone with you. If that worries you, I wrote a separate guide on who owns your AI coach, with the questions to ask before you sign.

When a SaaS tool is the smarter buy

More often than agencies admit.

If your members only need answers about your course, Kajabi’s agent at $79 a month or Coachvox at $83 costs far less than any build. You can switch it on this week.

If you run a brokerage with fewer than 250 agents and general real estate scripts are fine, BrokerBot’s flat plans cost less than a build over three years. If you have fewer than about 20 active clients, your own replies are cheaper and more personal than any software.

A build starts to pay off when you want members practicing your own scripts, scored on your rubric, under your brand, with the data in your accounts. It also needs enough members that seat fees hurt. And it is the only option here you can sell as a paid member tier without paying anyone per member.

Dana fits. She has 300 agents, her own scripts, and a per-seat quote that runs past half a million dollars over three years.

How we price

We don’t publish a price list, because scope varies too much. A scored quiz for your talks is a small job. A voice role-play coach with a coach dashboard is a much bigger one.

Every build gets a fixed quote after a free audit, written into a one-page plan. That number is what you pay, 50% to start and 50% at launch. Care & Grow is an optional monthly plan with a 3-month minimum. It covers fixes, model updates and a new module each quarter.

AI usage is billed by the provider to your own account. No seat fees. No revenue share.

We built the full ResultPal platform for author Dr. Pelè. He sells it to organizations. Its AI coach helps people use his teaching. It was in production in about three months.

For Dana, the honest answer is a voice role-play build on a fixed quote after a free audit. The provider bills usage to her own account, and she can see it every month.

Want your own version of her numbers? The discovery call is free, and so is the audit after it. Bring your member count and we’ll work it out together. Every package is on our page about how our fixed-quote pricing works. To see what we build, start with AI practice coaches for coaching businesses.
