Delphi vs Coachvox vs Kajabi AI vs a custom AI coach: which fits your coaching business? (2026)

Coachvox, Delphi, Kajabi Expert Agents and a custom build all get called an AI coach. They do different jobs. Here is what each one costs today, what its terms say you own, and which one fits which coaching business.

Most coaches comparing these four tools ask which one is best. That is the wrong question.

They do different jobs. Coachvox and Delphi give you an AI version of yourself that answers questions. Kajabi’s Expert Agents answer questions inside Kajabi. A custom build makes your clients practice your method and shows you who did.

So here is the short answer. Want to test whether clients will talk to an AI version of you? Coachvox at $83 a month is the cheapest honest test. Already run everything on Kajabi and only need answers? Use Kajabi’s agent.

Have a big audience and $5,000 a year? Look at Delphi. Want clients doing the work between sessions, scored on your rubric, with the data in your accounts? That is a build.

One of the four changed its prices while I was writing this. I’ll get to which one, because it says a lot about renting your coach.

I checked every price and every set of terms below on 25 October 2026. The sources are at the end.

Meet Grace, our example coach

To keep this concrete, I’ll follow one made-up coach. Grace coaches freelancers on getting their first five retainer clients. She makes about $400,000 a year, runs a six-month program with 60 clients, sells a course on Kajabi and hosts her community on Skool.

Her problem is the five days between calls. Clients agree to send three proposals, then send one, or none. She answers the same pricing question in the community every week. She wants help with both, without becoming a robot to her own clients.

Four tools, three different jobs

The first job is answering as you. Coachvox and Delphi train a chatbot on your content, and people ask it what they would ask you. It lives on their platform.

The second job is answering inside your course platform. Kajabi’s Expert Agents learn from what you have already published in Kajabi. Circle and Thinkific now sell something similar on their top plans.

The third job is practice. A custom build runs your exercises on a schedule, checks the answers against your rubric and gives you a list of who did the work. None of the three products above does that.

Grace needs a little of the first job and a lot of the third. Keep that in mind as the prices come in.

The prices, checked 25 October 2026

  • Coachvox AI is $83 a month billed annually, or $99 month to month, with a 14-day trial that needs a card. A done-for-you setup is offered, with no published price.
  • Delphi has a free plan that lives only on Delphi’s own network. Scaler is $5,000 a year, Scaler + API is $10,000 a year, and the Immortal tier is priced per client.
  • Kajabi Expert Agents are $79 per agent a month with 1,000 messages, according to Kajabi’s help center. Its pricing page still marks them as coming soon. You also need a Kajabi plan, from $179 a month.
  • A custom build is a fixed quote per project, plus AI usage billed by the provider to your own account. I budget about $0.50 to $1 per active client a month for text practice.

For Grace, Coachvox costs about $1,000 a year. Kajabi’s agent costs about $950 a year on top of the Kajabi plan she already pays for. Delphi’s first paid plan is $5,000 a year.

Coachvox is the cheapest honest test

Coachvox does one thing and prices it simply. You get an AI version of yourself trained on your content, unlimited chats, transcripts of what clients asked, and content written in your voice.

Its terms say the responses belong to you, the creator. They also say conversation data is used for service delivery, quality checks and model improvement, and that Coachvox supplies and hosts the AI. I found no clause about exporting your coach when you leave.

For Grace, Coachvox would answer the weekly pricing question well. It would not ask a client on Monday whether the three proposals went out. That is a different product.

Still, $83 a month is a cheap way to learn whether her clients will talk to an AI at all. If they won’t, nothing else on this list matters.

Delphi moved upmarket in two weeks

Here is the price change. On 11 October 2026, Delphi’s pricing page listed plans at $79 and $299 a month. By 25 October those were gone. The paid plans now start at $5,000 a year.

That is the renting problem in one line.

Delphi still has a free plan, but it lives only on Delphi’s network. To run your Delphi on your own channels, with integrations and voice calls, you need Scaler. The top tier is for public figures with large audiences, and that is clearly who Delphi now builds for.

Its general terms, updated 20 July 2025, say your submissions are owned by you. They also give Delphi a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to them, and warn that deleting your account may not completely delete that content. Its separate Creator Terms cover the Digital Mind itself. I went through those in who owns your AI coach.

For Grace, $5,000 a year buys a polished clone. It still doesn’t run her exercises or tell her who did the work.

Kajabi’s agents only work inside Kajabi

Kajabi offers two agents. The teaching assistant answers from the lessons, transcripts and community posts a member can already see. The sales agent answers from your offers and product descriptions.

Both are text only. Both appear only on Kajabi-hosted pages, so you can’t put them on another website. Each agent includes 1,000 messages a month.

Kajabi’s two pages disagree right now. The help center lists the agents at $79 a month after a $49 early-adopter rate that closed on 30 September. The main pricing page still says coming soon. Ask Kajabi which is current before you plan around it.

Grace’s course is on Kajabi, so the teaching assistant could answer course questions there. Her community is on Skool, where the agent can’t follow. And like the clone tools, it answers. It doesn’t check in.

If your whole business lives on Kajabi and you only need answers, this is the obvious choice. Circle’s AI agents (on its $419 a month Scale plan) and Thinkific’s Thinker (on its Plus plan) are the same idea for those platforms.

A custom build is the only one that runs practice

A custom build starts from your method instead of your content library. For Grace it would send a Monday message asking how many proposals went out. It would run a ten-minute exercise from her module on follow-up, and answer the pricing question from her own lesson.

On Friday it would give her a list: who did the work, who is stuck, who went quiet. That list is the product. Her next group call starts where the room is stuck.

The downsides are real. You pay upfront instead of monthly, and it takes weeks, not minutes. A first version of ours takes about 2 weeks, and most builds go live in 4 to 6 weeks.

Your method also has to be written down, or there is nothing to build from.

The upside is that it’s yours. The code, the data and the AI accounts are in your name, so a vendor can’t reprice it from under you. Nobody charges you per client as the program grows.

Ownership decides more than price

Price gets the attention, but ownership decides what happens in year three. Ask each vendor three questions before you sign.

  • If I cancel, what do I take with me? Coachvox and Delphi describe no export of the coach itself, and a Kajabi agent belongs to the Kajabi site it was made on.
  • Is my clients’ data used to improve your models? Coachvox’s terms say conversation data is used for model improvement.
  • What license do I give you over my content, and does it end when I leave? Delphi’s general terms describe a perpetual license.

None of this makes these products bad. It makes them rentals. Rentals are fine for testing an idea. They are a worry when the coach becomes part of what you sell.

What Grace should do

If I were Grace, I would start small. A month of Coachvox would show whether her clients talk to an AI version of her at all. It would cost about $100.

If they do, and the real gap is still the proposals that never go out, she needs practice and follow-up, not a better clone. That is when a build earns its price. She already has the method, the 60 clients and a program that charges enough to carry it.

How we price a build

Every build gets a fixed quote after a free audit, written into a one-page plan, and that number is what you pay. AI usage is billed by the provider to your own account. No seat fees and no revenue share.

We built the full ResultPal platform for author Dr. Pelè. He sells it to organizations. Its AI coach helps people use his teaching. It was in production in about three months.

If you want the numbers for your own program, the discovery call is free, and so is the audit after it. The full cost picture is in how much an AI coach costs, and our builds for coaches are on the coaches and course creators page. What a custom build includes is on our AI practice coach page.
