Custom AI coaching app vs white-label vs Kajabi, Mighty Networks or Skool (2026)
Most coaches asking whether to leave Kajabi, Mighty Networks or Skool for an AI coaching app should stay where they are. Here is what each platform’s AI does, what a white-label app costs, what you lose when you leave, and when a custom AI coach next to your platform is the better answer. Prices checked 27 October 2026.

If you are wondering whether to leave Kajabi for an AI coaching app, you probably shouldn’t.
The same goes for Mighty Networks and Skool. They are good at courses, payments and community. What none of them sells is an AI that runs your exercises between calls and scores them on your rubric.
So here is the short answer. Keep your platform.
Want your own app in the app stores? A white-label app or Kajabi’s Pro plan costs a few hundred dollars a month. If you want AI that coaches your people on your method, that is a custom build that runs next to the platform you keep.
One of these three platforms can end your access for any reason, with or without notice. It says so in its terms. I’ll tell you which one when we get to leaving.
I checked every price below on the vendors’ own pages on 27 October 2026. The sources are at the end.
Meet Jo, who is thinking about moving
Say you run a coaching company for gym owners. Call her Jo. She is made up, and so are her numbers.
Jo has 250 members. Her course lives on Kajabi’s Growth plan, and her community lives on Mighty Networks. Her members watch the lessons, then skip the homework: the pricing exercise, the sales script, the weekly numbers.
Jo keeps seeing two pitches. One says “launch your own branded AI app”. The other says “move everything to one platform with AI built in”. She wants to know which one fixes the homework.
The honest answer is neither.
Three different things get called an AI coaching app
The first is the platform you already use, with AI features added. Kajabi, Mighty Networks and Skool sit here. The AI mostly helps you run the business and answer questions.
The second is a white-label app. Your logo and colors go on someone else’s app, often listed in the app stores under your name. Passion.io, Heartbeat, Mighty Pro and Circle Plus sell this. You rent the engine underneath.
The third is a custom build. It starts from your method and runs your exercises, check-ins and scoring. You own the code and the data.
The prices, checked 27 October 2026
- Kajabi is $179, $249 or $499 a month billed monthly, or $143, $199 or $399 a month billed yearly. A branded mobile app comes only with Pro. Kajabi takes no revenue share.
- Kajabi Expert Agents are $79 per agent a month with 1,000 messages, per Kajabi’s help center. Its pricing page still marks them as coming soon.
- Mighty Networks is $79, $179 or $354 a month billed yearly, with transaction fees of 2%, 1% or 0.5%. Branded apps come only with Mighty Pro, which has no published price.
- Skool is $9 a month with a 10% transaction fee, or $99 a month with 2.9%. I found no AI coach and no branded app.
- Passion.io is $149, $349 or $699 a month billed monthly, or $119, $279 or $599 billed yearly. Its FAQ says your own branding starts on the middle plan and app store listings on the top one.
- Heartbeat includes a white-label mobile app on its Scale plan, at $849 a month, or $766 billed yearly. Circle Plus, Circle’s branded app plan, has no published price.
For Jo, the platforms she has now cost about $4,500 a year on yearly billing: Kajabi Growth at $2,388 and Mighty’s Scale plan at $2,150. Keep that number in mind.
Platform AI helps you run the room
The feature lists hold a surprise. Most of the AI on these platforms is for you, the host, not for your members.
Mighty Networks lists writing helpers, icebreaker suggestions, hashtag suggestions and search summaries. Its AI Cohost gives you strategy and setup help, and its own page says agents are coming next. Skool’s pricing page lists no AI feature at all.
Kajabi goes furthest. Its Expert Agents answer member questions from your lessons, inside Kajabi. They are useful, and they answer. They don’t ask Jo’s members on Monday whether they ran the pricing exercise.
If Jo only wanted her members to get answers faster, I would tell her to switch on Kajabi’s agent and stop reading here.
A white-label app puts your sign on a rented building
A white-label app feels like ownership. Your name is in the App Store. Your logo is on the home screen.
The engine underneath belongs to the vendor, and so does the price.
Passion.io includes an AI coach trained on your content on every plan. Its pricing page contradicts itself on branding, though. One line says every plan includes your branded app. The FAQ says branding starts on Scale.
Read the tier you need, not the headline. For Jo, an app store listing on Passion.io means Expand. At $599 a month billed yearly, that is about $21,600 over three years. Kajabi’s Pro plan, with its branded app, is about $14,400 over the same three years.

Neither price is unreasonable for what you get. But a branded app still runs the vendor’s features. If the vendor doesn’t score a sales script on your rubric, your logo won’t make it.
Should you leave Kajabi? Read the exit first
Before you move anywhere, read what each platform lets you take with you. This is where the real cost of switching hides.
Kajabi lets you export your contacts as a spreadsheet. Its help center says a full course backup isn’t possible, so lesson videos have to be downloaded by hand. After you cancel, customer data may be deleted after 90 days, and your customers lose access to what they bought.
Mighty Networks says you keep full ownership of your content and member data. You can download your member list on any paid plan.
Skool is the one I promised. Its terms say it may end your access “for any reason, with or without notice”. They have no clause on exporting your members.

None of this means you should panic. It means moving costs more than the new platform’s price, and it usually fixes nothing about the homework.
A custom AI coach runs next to the platform you keep
A custom build starts from Jo’s method. On Monday it asks each member for last week’s numbers. It runs the pricing exercise from her module and checks the answer against her rubric. It answers questions only from her approved lessons.
On Friday Jo gets a list: who did the work, who is stuck, who went quiet. Her next group call starts where the room is stuck.
Her course stays on Kajabi, and her community stays on Mighty. Kajabi’s webhooks on Growth and Pro can give a new buyer access automatically. Skool connects with a link and a few Zapier triggers instead.

The trade-offs are real. You pay a fixed price upfront instead of monthly. A first version takes about two weeks, and most builds go live in four to six. Your method has to be written down, or there is nothing to build from.
The running cost is the AI provider’s bill, in Jo’s own account. For text practice I estimate about $0.50 to $1 per active member a month. The math is in how much an AI coach costs.
Keep the platform for the course. Build for the work your people skip.
What Jo should do
If I were Jo, I would stay on Kajabi and Mighty. She already pays about $4,500 a year for platforms that work. Moving would cost her weeks and fix nothing about the homework.
If her members are asking for an app, she can price Mighty Pro or Kajabi Pro against what she pays now. If they are skipping the work, she needs practice and follow-up. That is when a custom AI coach next to her platforms earns its price.
How we price a build
Every build gets one fixed quote in writing after a free call and a free audit. It covers design, build, launch and 60 days of fixes. The AI and hosting accounts are in your name, and there are no seat fees and no revenue share.
We built the full ResultPal platform for author Dr. Pelè. He sells it to organizations. Its AI coach helps people use his teaching. It was in production in about three months.
What a build includes for coaches is on our coaches and course creators page. If you are comparing clone tools too, read Delphi vs Coachvox vs Kajabi AI. Or book the free call and bring your platform bills.
